Full course description
Fundamentals of Robotics for Manufacturing
Who is this for?
This is an introductory level course for those interested in or currently working in the manufacturing field who want to gain essential knowledge about robotics. A college degree is not required to take this course.
Course Overview
This entry-level 4-week course provides an accessible and engaging introduction to the world of robotics in manufacturing. Through a series of structured online modules, learners will explore the evolving role of robotics in modern manufacturing, develop a foundational understanding of robotic systems, and gain exposure to the technical aspects of robotic schematics and blueprints. The course also highlights various career paths available in robotics, empowering learners with the knowledge to advance their careers.
What to Expect
Each week will focus on a different aspect of robotics in manufacturing. Weekly modules include interactive exercises, videos that showcase robotics in action, and assignments to help learners apply their knowledge. Live sessions will offer opportunities for deeper engagement and discussion.
To earn the course’s digital badge, learners must successfully complete all coursework at the required level and demonstrate competency in the learning outcomes.
While live synchronous sessions are highly recommended for real-time interaction and learning, recordings will be made available for those who are unable to attend due to other responsibilities.
Time Commitment
Learners should anticipate dedicating roughly 15 hours over a 4-week period for this course. Each week, participants will engage in readings, watch instructional videos, complete assignments, and interact live with our faculty experts, averaging about 3-5 hours per week. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to watch recorded sessions with our experts, ensuring optimal convenience for all learners.
