Course Overview

This hands-on course equips you with the practical skills and strategic insight needed to turn innovative ideas into successful products. You’ll explore essential elements of product development, including funding strategies, business models, marketing channels, and persuasive pitching techniques. Learn how to evaluate funding options—from investors to strategic partnerships—and align your approach with stakeholder needs and organizational culture.

You’ll also develop targeted marketing plans, identify effective digital channels, and craft compelling promotional materials. The course culminates in a polished two-minute video pitch, giving you the opportunity to present your idea with confidence and demonstrate your ability to move a product from concept to market-ready proposal.

This course is approved for 1.5 CEUs or 15 PEs. Check with your employer on reimbursement.

What to Expect

This course is divided into four sections, each designed to build your knowledge and skills step by step. Throughout the course, you’ll complete video lectures, assigned readings, and interactive activities that reinforce key concepts. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in live, expert-led sessions for deeper insight and real-time engagement. At the end of each section, you’ll complete a short assignment to apply what you’ve learned. All four assignments must be completed to pass the course and earn your badge.

Time Commitment

Learners should anticipate dedicating around 15 hours over a 4-week period for this course. Each week, participants will engage in readings, watch instructional videos, complete assignments, and interact live with our faculty experts, averaging about 3-5 hours per week. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to watch recorded sessions with our experts, ensuring optimal convenience for all learners.

Course opens on Friday for learners to orient themselves but officially kicks off on Monday.
